Marigold + mint bouquet, gold sneakers, scarves, dancing… this wedding had so many sweet elements. In addition to growing their own bouquet, Bill and Katherine gifted their guests marigold seeds (I got some, too!) which connects their special day to future blooms in the gardens of their community. In addition, marigolds are good companion plants: they protect a wide variety of plants from pests and harmful weeds. If you plant a marigold beside most any garden vegetable, that vegetable will be healthier. What a lovely metaphor.
